Emily Loggins

Creative Arts

I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in 2014, receiving my bachelor’s degree in English Studies. I was called into ministry at a student ministry camp in Tennessee when I was fourteen years old. I left knowing that God was calling me to build the local church, but I had no idea what that meant. After a long season of volunteering in differing ministry roles, God awakened my passion to lead and pastor creative people and build His church through the unique perspective of creativity. I am passionate about how creativity can be used as a vessel to make the story of Jesus compelling and constructive to those near and far from Him, and how creativity can illuminate truths about God. I am called to pastor creatives in the local church as they learn what it means to become better followers of Jesus, and to create out of that overflow to tell the greatest story ever told. After I complete the residency, I hope to work as a creative pastor/ director to help disciple and develop creatives in the local church and reach people far from Jesus with a gospel that is living, active, creative, and engaging.
