Student Ministry
I am currently serving as the student ministry resident at the Buford campus. Throughout my life, youth group was my favorite place. It was where I had felt at home and saw God work in my life. I grew up with junk in my home and school life that made me feel incomplete and worthless, but through youth group, more specifically youth leaders and friends, I learned about God’s love and salvation. It led to me serving more in the church and eventually in the summer of 2016 my call towards youth ministry. Since then, God has opened doors for me through mentorship and education. I graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 2022 with a double major in Youth Ministry and Bible & Theology. Currently I am pursuing further training/growth through the residency at 12Stone and the master’s program at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Adolescence is such an important, transformative and challenging time. I have experienced first-hand how important student ministry is in shaping a student’s faith and life. I believe that students are not only the next generation but also has value to the church family through their unique gifts and service. I pray that God would continue to grow me in my calling and deepen my faith throughout the residency.
