Student Ministry

I am currently serving as a student ministry resident at the Hamilton Mill campus. In the early months of 2019, as I was beginning the final semester of my senior year of high school, I sensed the Lord begin to tug on my heart in the direction of doing ministry full time, more specifically student ministry. As I graduated high school and transitioned into college, I wanted to further explore this calling and see where God might lead me, so I chose to study youth ministry, and spend the two summers in the middle of my college years interning at a church in Charlotte. Through both of those things, I felt the Lord’s affirmation of this calling whether through the passion that I had while completing ministry centered assignments and projects in school, or through experiences that I had serving at my church in Lynchburg or in Charlotte. In all of this, the Lord cultivated a greater desire to impact the next generation of students for Him, much like I was privileged to have in the many student pastors and mentors that I was privileged to be around throughout middle school and high school. I graduated from Liberty University in 2022 with a B.S. in Youth Ministry, but still felt like I wasn’t in a place to jump straight into full time ministry, and wanted to find a place where I could sit under a well established leader in a student ministry, learn from them, and still be able to put that knowledge into practice through ministry experiences that I might have, and the 12Stone Residency checked all of those boxes and then some.
